Our most powerful of senses is not
neglected by Kimono Collections. A very special blend has been created
in collaboration with Clive Newland of ' Newland Apothecary' in Noosa
Heads, Australia. A scent that blends what I feel to be truly
Australian evocations, with Eastern tones. This blend culminates in a
unique, Signature Scent for Kimono Collections.
The
Signature Scent has components that encourage immune health as well as
creating an exotic, yet earthy scent particular to Kimono Collections.
I have
collaborated with Jamie Bell, the wooden handle craftsman of Kimono
Classic handbags, to create small, tactile camphor laurel wood pieces
that are modeled on river stones. These camphor stones are used as
both an insect repellent and a carrier of the scent.
The
wooden pieces absorb the Kimono Collections Signature Scent and can
also be rolled in the hand, or used as a decorative item. Nothing is
wasted. Camphor Laurel is considered a noxious weed in Queensland,
Australia. I think it is a beautiful wood. Instead of burning it or
throwing it away, it regains dignity as a contributing piece of the
Kimono Collections.
I
hope you enjoy the scent that has been created and that it evokes a
further connection with your Kimono Collections handbag every time you
breathe in an evocative whiff of it...in a box...in your bag...or on
your camphor 'stone'..perhaps you may even find that you enjoy it so
much you will want the pure oil to put in your oil burner or bath!
Perhaps you will even desire the specially blended perfume that is soon
to be released? Where ever you choose to have the Signature Scent,
please enjoy it immensely.
